| Deskripsi | Ability to write scientific papers to be one important element in the professional development of teachers. Teachers should not only be present in the classroom to teach, but also be able to identify problems in the classroom. The identification of the problems encountered in the classroom learning can be developed to do action research to improve the quality of learning. The results of this classroom action research can be developed into a scientific article that can be inserted into a scientific journal. Through the writing of scientific articles based on research, teachers are expected to develop professionalism, especially in the field of research. Therefore, it should be carried out training writing scientific papers for journals for teachers of junior Se-Kabupaten Salatiga PPKn. Method of community service activities is carried out by lectures, question and answer, discussion, practice and evaluation. The target audience is the community service activities PPKn junior high school teachers Se Salatigayang District Council joined in Subject Teacher (MGMPs) PPKn. Invitations were distributed to teachers PPKn number of participants 40 and 31 participants. Results for the target audience is increasing awareness and knowledge of teachers about writing scientific articles for journals. Through lectures and discussions, teachers are already familiar with the steps or strategies development framework for journal writing scientific articles. In addition, through this community service program could be established cooperation and good relations between UNY, in particular Program Pancasila and Citizenship Education Graduate Program, State University of Yogyakarta, with institutions outside UNY ie SMP PPKn MGMP Salatiga district. From the results obtained in the activity there are a number of things suggested, namely the need for better planning before the community service program is carried out and it is necessary to carry out further service activities from the training of writing scientific articles to journals. |
